I am a Southerner, through and through. I was born in New Orleans and raised by two strong Southern women, while experiencing a high level of trauma in my birth family. These experiences, of course, have lead me down the road of writing creative nonfiction, memoirs to be more specific. I am currently living in N.C. and after only a 7 month residence in the state, I am planning on moving, possibly to Arkansas. One of my goals is to write Southern Gothic short stories. For me, it makes sense that I live in a place where true blue Southerners live so that I can hear the stories that made them famous. Hopefully, my dreams and goals will be accomplished in this life time. I know I am working diligently toward them.
